Delete your BetaWork account

You can delete your BetaWork account at any time. The quickest way is in the app: Account → Delete my account. If you no longer have the app, sign in below with the phone number on your account and we will delete it for you.

What we delete

• Your name, phone number, email, area and profile photo.
• Your home addresses and pinned locations.
• Photos and voice notes you added to jobs or sent in chats.
• For workers: your selfie, ID photo, NIN digits, past-work photos, bio, saved location and bank account details.
• The devices linked to your account for notifications.

We delete this data within 30 days of your request, and you will no longer be able to sign in.

What we keep

• Payment and payout records (amounts, dates and payment references), for as long as Nigerian tax and financial law requires (usually 6 years). They no longer show your name or phone number.
• Job titles and descriptions, chat text and reviews, because they are part of the other person’s records. They show “Deleted user” instead of your name.
• Whether a worker passed the identity check (not the photos or NIN).

A job that is still in progress or in dispute must be finished first, so that any money held for it can be paid out or refunded.
