How does BetaWork protect my money?
When you accept a quote you pay into escrow through Paystack. The worker is paid only after you confirm the job is done, or automatically after 72 hours if you do not report a problem. If something goes wrong, open a dispute and our team reviews it.
Are the workers verified?
Yes. Every worker verifies their National Identification Number (NIN) and a live selfie before they can quote for jobs. Ratings come only from completed jobs.
What if the job fails?
Every job paid through BetaWork comes with the BetaWork guarantee: if the work fails within 24 hours of completion, tap Claim free rework on the job. Your worker must come back within 24 hours to fix it free, and BetaWork support will call you.
Is there a referral reward?
Yes. Share your code from Account → Invite friends. When your friend finishes their first job, you both get ₦1,000 off: customers on the service fee, workers on commission.
How much does it cost?
Posting a job and getting quotes is free. When you pay for a job, a small service fee (from ₦100, at most ₦2,100) covers payment and bank transfer costs. Workers pay a small commission on their labour only, never on materials.
What if I'm not sure what the problem is?
Workers can send an inspection quote: you pay a small call-out fee, they visit, then send you the full price.

Can I pay the worker in cash?
We strongly advise against it. Payments outside BetaWork are not protected by escrow or our dispute process.
